Age: 20
Grade Level/Class Taught/Job: First year university student.

Personality:
The best way to describe Ondrea would probably be "strong". I don't just mean strong as in physical sense, although she is quite powerful in those regards. No, I'm talking about emotional strength and intellectual strength. It's this Blaziken's firm belief that only the strong live, while the weak die. She sees that simply as how life is and how it should be. However, this belief isn't as narrow-minded as one may think. See, it's not just the strength you have now that defines true strength (although it is a large part of it). Rather, it's the potential for strength and your willingness to achieve it that plays a big role. If you stop growing as a person or pokemon, then you reject the ways of change, thus denying yourself the opportunity to better yourself. To Ondrea, bettering ourselves is the main reason we exist and anyone who rejects this is weak and a fool.
This belief has hardened her considerably, as her default persona is a serious one. She is a very independent individual, as well as a very calm and dignified one. While often soft spoken , Ondrea has no qualms with speaking her mind in the most blunt way possible. This tends to tag her as distant, rude, and uncaring, but that's not true at all. She can be a very caring "person", but only to those who've taken the time to peel back her metaphorical shell and gotten to know her...usually. Even those who are merely acquaintances of hers may catch her on a good day, or manage to amuse her. As for her caring aspect, she is quite fond of the "tough love" kinda deal, but it's possible for her to get a bit sappy too if she cares about the person enough.
Despite her belief that only the strong deserve to live and the weak should die Ondrea's not much of a killer. A fighter? Oh hell yes, she loves a good fight. Always nice to make herself stronger, but killing is different. Sure, she's killed before, but only if she was hunting or if it was out of self defense (in this case, there was no other way to stop the attacker). In addition to that, she doesn't mind helping out the weak so long as they have potential and the will to become stronger. If they're lacking either or? Forget about it, it's not worth her time.
It should also be noted that she is quite intelligent, having learned in her life that mental strength is just as important as physical and spiritual (thanks to her trainer). After all, brute force is all well and good, but it takes a bit of brains and some finesse to win a fight. Even if, granted, being book smart wouldn't help too much in a fight, she still finds it useful. Nothing wrong with learning, after all. It serves to amuse her and keep her mind occupied.
Before, in the second paragraph, it was stated that Ondrea is a calm individual. While that is true, it should be noted that she is still a fire type and does in fact contain their famous temper. Sure, she can control it a lot better than most of her brethren and is able to keep her cool fairly well, but once those flames get hot you can expect lots of flames to follow.
As far as other emotions go, she doesn't really show them off much. Sure, if something or someone is bothering her, she'll have made it know...but it's not like she'll be sad or angry about it (unless it REALLY hit home). Instead, she'll just state it in a "matter of fact" kind of way...with a bit of sarcasm, perhaps. Regardless, a lot of her emotions are often not seen, not because she keeps them hidden, but because she just isn't a very emotional person.
...
Except, there is one emotion she keeps hidden: fear. There aren't many things this blaziken is afraid of, but there IS one big thing. That's death. In fact, that fear has been so prevalent throughout her like, that it is the whole reason she wishes to become stronger. Ondrea didn't want to end up like her parents. She wanted to live and because of this, found that the only way to prevent oneself from dying is to be stronger than anything that would wish to kill you. That's how she adopted her belief that the strong live and the weak die. Admittedly, though...that belief has helped her come to terms with her fear of death. Should anyone manage to kill her, they would obviously be stronger than her and thus in the right to do so.
Backstory:
Ondrea's story begins slightly before she was born, in the Hoenn region. Starter Pokemon, because they are so scare, are usually taken care of in special habitats created by professors and their staff. When a trainer starts their journey at age 10, they are able to select one of the Pokemon as their own. However, years back, some of the scientists tried to repopulate some of the "starter" Pokemon, releasing their adult and fully evolved forms into the wild after giving them a "crash course" in what to expect. Some of them were even sent to different regions, like Ondrea's parents. They were sent to Unova.
Once they were released and had gotten used to their new environment, they decided to start a family. Out of that family came four male Torchic and two females. Ondrea was, sadly, the not only the youngest of the chicks, but the smallest too. Thanks to that, she had a bit of a chip on her shoulder during her younger years, always feeling as if she had something to prove. Admittedly, however, her parents really could have given her a bit more attention, unlike her siblings who got quite a bit.
In order to prove herself as not weak, she trained a lot, defeating nearby Pokemon to gain experience in hopes of finally evolving. After a few years of hard work, she was the first of bunch to evolve into a Combusken. At that point in time (and perhaps even now) it would not be an understatement to say that was the greatest day of her life. Not only were her parents proud of her and her hard work, but all her older siblings looked up to her. That fact alone gave her a bit of arrogance, but despite this, she still harbored a bit of resentment towards her family. It wasn't fair that they got spoiled, while she had to work hard for what she wanted.
That changed soon enough, however. A few weeks after she evolved into a Combusken, poachers arrived in the area with the hope of catching some rare pokemon in the area. They of course, had no idea how rare the pokemon would be. Ondrea's parents had been captured, while she herself avoided capture simply because she was off training when everyone else was still sleeping.
It was a few hours later when she showed up at their "home" but instead of two Blaziken and several Torchic waiting for her, there were several humans around camping, with a truck holding several large cages. This was, admittedly, confusing for the young pokemon. She'd heard stories about humans from her mother and father about how kind humans were for raising them, and yet these humans were here...clearly up to no good. This needed a further explanation, clearly. So she entered the back of the truck, and that's when she saw it, the scene that would change her life forever. Her parents tied up together, their feathers plucked clean off. But that wasn't just it...they weren't moving. No signs of breathing, no twitches, nothing. Meanwhile, her brothers and sister were asleep, their cheeks stained with tears.
It was at that point she snapped.
She ripped the cages apart with her claws and freed her remaining family before turning on their captors. Said family watched in horror as she killed the small band of humans in her blind rage, only stopping once the last one was dead. After that...she didn't know what to think. She needed alone time, but her family...or what was left of it, needed her. So she spent a whole year training her siblings and got them all to evolve. Once she was satisfied with their progress, she sent them off on their way, wishing them the best of luck.
Once all this had been taken care of...she remained in the area to think. She spent days there, training her body while focusing her mind, trying to realize how two fully evolved pokemon could have lost to a bunch of humans. ...then she realized it, her parents had gotten soft. They told her how the scientists back at the lab trained them to fight, since it would be important to their survival. Yet...she certainly never saw them fight anything. Which meant they got lazy over the years.
Finally, things had begun to make sense in the fowl's mind. Only the strong lived, while the weak died. Being, of course, afraid of death, she promised herself to never become weak. She'd be strong, powerful, brave, just what she'd need to be in order to live. Unlike...unlike her parents. She no longer resented her parents for "forcing" her to become stronger, instead of spoiling her like her siblings...but she did, in a way, resent them. It may seem hard to believe, but she resented them for dying. For being weak and leaving their offspring alone.
Eventually, though, she just stopped thinking about her family. It was easier that way.
Years went on as she trained, journeying from area to area, beating down the strongest targets she could find in order to better herself. Matter of fact, she even ran into a few trainers who tried to catch her, but failed when she proved to be too strong. Ondrea never hated humans, even if her first hands-on experience with them had been terrible. No, she heard from other wild pokemon that humans could make you stronger, teach you techniques that wilds could only dream of. That prospect certainly interested her, although she refused to be captured by a weak trainer.
Thankfully, about a year later, she found a trainer strong enough to handle her. An Ace Trainer by the name of Jane. When the woman encountered Ondrea showed the desire to capture her, and sent out a Frillish. Not one to turn down a fight, the young Combusken stood her ground. A long and hard battle follow afterwards, eventually leading to her first loss and capture. Despite this, however, a smile was present on her face during that capture. She had a strong trainer, strong teammates, and the opportunity to get better.
The time spent with Jane and the rest of her team were among the better parts of the Combusken (and eventual Blaziken)'s life. That is hardly a surprise, considering the girl saw great potential in the bird, even bestowing her the name "Ondrea", which Jane explained as meaning "strong" or "warrior". Needless to say, she approved of the name.
More years passed as Ondrea's journey went on, fighting with the rest of Jane's team...as well as against them (especially her Jellicent, who'd formed a bit of a rivalry with her) for some good old fashion training. Eventually, all their hard work paid off once the eight Gym badge was in their grasp. It wasn't over yet though, this team was gonna go all the way to the top! Pokemon League, here we come!
...or at least, that's what WOULD of happened, had not Jane saw the advertisement for Smash Academy. She thought it might be fun to send one of her pokemon over there to learn and to improve their skill, but was unsure which one should go. The prospect of getting stronger had, of course, appealed to Ondrea...but was it really worth leaving her trainer behind? She didn't know for sure. However, it was a worry of her's that she'd get too comfortable on this team and start slacking off. A school would come with responsibilities and new experiences, so it'd be better suited for staying on her toes.
Long story short, she expressed her want to join the Academy as best she could, Jane found this acceptable, enrolled her in classes as a University student, and sent the Blaziken on her way...with some slightly tearful good-byes as well...from both parties.
Anything Else?:
Her moveset is Fire Punch, Hi Jump Kick, Acrobatics, and Shadow Claw.
She has a serious nature.
It's kind of a rather large priority of her's that all clothing she wears is fire-proof. Just to be safe, of course.
Speaking of which, her own body is incredibly resilient to heat, being practically fire-proof itself.
Ondrea will flat out refuse to wear the girl's school uniform, so she'll be wearing the guy's instead.
Those gray glove-looking things in her human form? Yeah, those are special gauntlets that coat her wrists in fire (like her pokemon form), allowing her to use FIRE PUNCH and what have you.
Like all Blaziken, she can breathe fire. I'm sure that won't cause the school any property damage later on...
Because she's trained her body so much, it's very strong and durable. In addition to this, she's taught herself to be extremely flexible with her body, as to dodge and attack in different positions easily, as well as preform unexpected and unique techniques.
She's level 50.
Her human form looks like this.
In-Character 1st person sample:
[Today had been, admittedly, rather uneventful for the Blaziken. Sure, she had spent a good sum of it training, as she always did, but every once in a while it would be nice to have some sort of opponent face her on the field of battle. It wasn't that much to ask for, really, just something to break up the monotony every once in awhi-]
HEY! Watch where you're going!
[Opps...how embarrassing. Well, it would be if she gave a rat's ass, at least.]
...sorry. I got distracted, it won't happen again.
[The guy she bumped into snorted.]
Yeah, you're damn right that it isn't gonna happen again.
[Oh...that caught her attention.]
Is that supposed to scare me?
No, but this is!
[Next thing she knew, he hurled a punch her way which. Seems like today just got a whole lot more interesting.
The punch was, of course, caught rather easily. She shook her head and frowned at the young man.]
Terrible form. Here, let me show you the correct way to hit someone.
[And BAM! Fist, meet face. Face, meet floor. I think you'll all get along great.
After she clocked him right in the face, she walked around him and headed off to her room, leaving the "poor" guy rubbing his face with his hand.]
In-Character 3rd person sample:
It had only been a few days since joining the academy, but Ondrea was already adapting to her new form and environment. Jane had given her a brief rundown of how the human body worked, what would be expected of her, and the like. Indeed, she had been grateful for the advice, as it proved to be quite useful thus far. Still, she hadn't exactly mastered the body just yet, but she could at least function well enough. Not to mention she could still train easily enough, since the Blaziken body did have many similarities to the human body.
None of that training was going on now, however. She'd already finished that a half hour ago. Now she was laying down on her bed in the room alone, her roommate having left before she returned. Admittedly, she kind of liked it that way. No disrespect to her roommate, but she kind of liked the peacefulness every now and then.
In fact, the room was so peaceful that she had started to doze off. Midday naps were to be expected of her, what with all the training, so this was no rare occurrence. Barely a two minutes passed after she closed her eyes before the warm embrace of sleep fell upon her. Sadly, it was to be a very short nap.
While the room may have certainly been peaceful and quiet, the entirety of the school sure wasn't. Perhaps if she hadn't been in such a deep sleep, Ondrea would of heard that go-kart a lot sooner. It wasn't until a split second before the bloody thing crashed through her wall that she woke up. Once she saw the thing charge through her wall, she back flipped out of the way quickly. However, that seemed to be unnecessary as the kart stopped soon after it crashed.
She glared at the driver, her lips formed in a prevalent scowl. A few seconds past before she could finally get the proper words out. Finally, she spoke "Are you going to sit there staring all day, or are you going to remove yourself from my wall?"
The driver, a young girl laughed nervously, right as her instructor yelled at her to put it in reverse. She followed the command, and was soon out of the room and back outside. Meanwhile, Ondrea just sighed and stomped out of the room, barely resisting the urge to break the door down. Looks like she'd have to sleep somewhere else tonight...
